    RE: I don

Old, and not ask cool as the description lead me to believe. I thought it meant "Game-assisted movies," like, they used a game to create a funny movie or something.

      RE: I don

I, personally, love seeing other people do speed runs, for whatever reason.

        RE: I don

if you want REAL speedruns that are NOT tool-assisted...

www.speeddemosarchive.com They have runs on 150+ games, with multiple different runs on some games. The mario64 runs are out of this world. The Zelda ones are crazy, etc... I've watched most of them. New updates a few times a week. 5-10 new runs a week.

Amazing site. Tool-Assisted runs are the worst waste of bandwith/harddrivespace known to man.

The Blast Corps speed runs on speeddemosarchive are by far the most impressive videos I've ever seen on that site.

              RE: I don

Tool-assisted runs are much more impressive visually than non-tool-assisted ones. I also have the utmost respect for the people that take enough time to thoroughly master the game and then play it through frame by frame.

That said, SDA has some impressive runs as well.

However, http://www.vortiginous.com/ is home to the most impressive feats of video games ever accomplished. Check out the Gradius runs. I also love the Super Monkey Ball and Viewtiful Joe videos there.

EDIT: Check out the Sonic 3 + Knuckles run on bisqwit's site. It is quite possibly the coolest thing ever.

Just watching a few of these speed runs is... wow.
Although when I watch the speed run for megaman X4 by Mike Uyama, I just never stop being impressed.
Except for the few instances where he took damage.
