It's a basic TWG setup. Night, day. 3 wolves, 13 humans. But it's slightly different.
Each player has an anonymous codename and PMs the host every vote they make. At the end of the day (which should usually be about 10 minutes, enough time to think about it but conversation isn't necessary), the host posts every player's vote.
Then there is the second vote of the day, where players must vote between the two with the most votes. In the event of a tie, there's a coin flip. But this second vote is a way to see how everyone feels about the lesser of two evils.
The humans obviously have no way of communicating with each other (in fact, any communication with other players is against the rules.) They do, however, have 3 huge advantages.
Upon any player's death, it is immediately revealed whether they were wolf or human. In other words, everyone is a psychic.
The wolves do not know who each other are. Each individual wolf sends in their own pick for a kill. If there is a consensus between 2 or 3, that person is killed, otherwise the kill is random between the 3 picks. If one of the 3 kills is another wolf, that person is excluded from the random pick. (Thus, if you're a wolf, and your kill gets killed, you can be sure that person wasn't a wolf. Similarly, if your kill wasn't killed, there's a possibility it was a wolf.) This is, of course, a huge ding for the wolves - they have to work to figure each other out.
The humans have a guardian, of course. But they also have a new role: the Sage. The Sage knows at the beginning of the game all the humans and all the wolves. They don't know their real identies, only their anonymous codenames. Since there is no communication, the Sage will have to communicate his intentions as best he can.
The game is won in the normal way. The game can also be won by the humans in a special way, if a player makes a successful Testimony. When a player makes a Testimony, he tells the host who he thinks the remaining wolves are. If he is correct, all wolves immediately die and the humans win the game. If he is incorrect, the human who made the testimony dies immediately, and the Testimony made is not revealed. Note that he can be incorrect if he leaves a wolf out or if he lists someone as a wolf who is not a wolf. Since only humans can give a Testimony, a failed Testimony does mean a confirmed human - but also a dead one.
This is not a game of diplomacy and deception. This is a game of cold, hard logic and detective work. It could probably be finished in an hour or two assuming all the players were online at the same time.
