    Ignition Mats..do you have one?

Currently I own the most simple mats you can find and I really am frustrated with them. The sensors always screw up my game play and the response is bad. I would really like to own a nice metal/steel platform, but they're a little $$. So, I have resorted to the new DDR Ignition Mats. I just wanted to here some input from Ignition Mat owners.
-Are the a waste of $ or are they good-
-Does the foam really help with the strees on my feet-
-Is the response good or crappy-

Questions like these I would really appreciate you guys answering. I don't want to invest in something that is crap, so if you could respond I would really really appreciate it.

    Thanks A LOT!

I don't own one, but I can tell you, if you don't own a metal pad you won't get the responce and handling you want.

I had a Redoctane Ignition. It worked well for like 9 months but it has gone to a better place. Responsiveness seemed good... it's different from a metal pad in that you get less friction, good for certain dance moves but not quite as good for beating really hard songs.

I've heard a lot of bad things about cheaper Ignition dancepads that use soft padding.

If I could, I'd get a TX-2000... but seeing as I'm not made of money, I plan on getting one eventually.

200% better than a soft pad

3% as good as a metal.

I just got a red octane for xmas... and I'm really confused.

I thought they were supposed to be good, but it's really, really damn frustrating. I don't know what's wrong with it, but the right sensor seems screwy. Like, sometimes it works and sometimes it won't - but I haven't had it work on A SINGLE HOLD YET. It just doesn't stay in. It's like it's only half there...

:\ How do I fix it? I can't return it... California to Canada is a big enough hassle, we don't want Canada > Cali > Canada...
C is for Charisma, it's why people think I'm great! I make my friends all laugh and smile and never want to hate!

Mine works just fine. In fact, I play better on it than I do at the arcade.

I just got a Version 1 ignition pad for the holidays...It is much better then a soft pad, It is a much upgrade going from a MadCatz... Even though My Friend who frist gave me a try in DDR, says there is no diffrence, but he is a moron, and can't do anything over 6feet with an A, he was amazed at the song A on heavy, so what can I say.

                      I've an ignition pad.

-no they are not a waste of $$$ (to my opinion)
                      -The foam does kinda help
-the responce is excelent (to my opinion)

                      there u go.

However, the only downside i can think of it is

-If you play a really hardcore song (like 8 feet or above) then the pad does move around a little, but not like a whole lot, just a little.

Picked up one for $63 bucks, thanks to my Best Buy employee discount. For a soft pad, it's pretty damn sweet. I'd rather have a metal pad, but I'm quite content with it.

The True HeartAck, I usta do 9-footers on a MadCatz..."A" on x1.5...The pad would move so much, it almost seemed like I was in a Diffrent Room, then Going to an Ignition...Sweet Salvation...All I have to say.
