I am still waiting for the "X" rating. The first game that should get that rating: GTA San Andreas.

Anyone under 18 should be unable to purchase it.

I think that's a good idea.

They do have AO (Adults only) ratings, but rarely will you see that. I don't even think Leisure Suit Larry got that.

Nonetheless, I agree. Mature people should play mature games. Immature people should watch the Disney channel.

NO NO NO NO NO

You guys. Anybody phycho and idiotic enough to go on a shooting rampage is going to do it anyway, whether or not they get Grand Theft Auto. Restricting people from buying it is just going to hurt sales and hold back the gaming market. The only games that should get AO ratings are ones with severe sex or nudity, which should really not be made in the first place (The Guy Game, anyone?)

Plus, Grand Theft Auto is really NOT THAT BAD. It's a gigantic media whore, so soccer moms all over the nation shudder at the words, but that's it. Very few have ever actually seen or played it, they just know its the worst thing ever made because Fox told them so. There are far worse games out there- Postal 2, Thrill Kill, Manhunt, yet for some reason the media doesn't focus on them. Why? They're not super bestsellers that are really fun to play (with the exception of Postal 2- that game is awesome). Seriously, chill out about GTA.

IMO, Squeek, Leisure Suit Larry had boobs and that was it. Everything was cartoony and jokey, but the game sucked anyway. There was an uncut version published that did recieve AO, though. Not even the Guy Game, which features full frontal nudity of real people, got an AO rating.

Don't even say GTA:SA should be 18 only. Don't EVEN tell me. If I had a gun to my face and they told me to give it a rating.. I'd go with 16 and up. I MEAN HELL, GROVE ST. DOESN'T EVEN CONDONE DOING DRUGS. So what are you doing? All you're doing is talking, robbing, and killing. The killing isn't gruesome.. the robbing is very mild.. and talking.. it's less abrasive than everyday talking among teenagers. Fuck.

It's not like all of a sudden people are starting to shoot shit up.

I completely blame video games. All I did was buy my 10 year old son a video game clearly marked M for mature and gave him an UZI. He just started killing people, then claimed "But my mom told me to do it" which is a complete lie... It's all video games' fault.

lol m rating is awesome because then little kids cant play big boy games.
