Don't know why you're so paranoid about it. =P
I guess just edit the picture file in the theme you use. Make it fit the size of the pictures. So if the character pictures are 50X50 and the viewing window picture is 50X70 (for example), them go to like Photoshop and trim it to make it 50X50. (or something like that)
