    Recommend to me some awesome songs in duple and triple meter

    And I mean AWESOME.
    If you don't know what duple/triple meter is, basically means the top number in the time signature is either divisble by 2(duple meter) or 3(triple meter). So 4/4 is duple, 6/8 is triple, 3/4 is triple, etc.

      Well there aren't very many that use 5/4 or 7/8, along those lines.

                      duple? its not... double? also... aren't like 95%+ of ALL songs in 4/4? and most that aren't are in 3/4?

                      also, wouldn't 3/4 and 6/8 be the same thing?

                              No, and no.

                              And you can usually tell with your ears, but a lot of the time you can't, eg. a song in 12/8, because a lot of the time signatures sound the same.

                                  Anyone with a brain can figure out time signatures.

                                  Try some satriani mwerp. The drummer usually sticks to x/4 rhythms with lots of triplets thrown in.

                                          No, autechre uses shit beyond triplets and normal syncopation.

                                          Autechre wins an award for most messed up polyrhythms.
