I always use one hand but sometimes use two hands on songs like Pwnd! and Chrono Trigger.

I agree but I use two hands all the time, I use my index and middle fingeron my left hand I use my middle finger for the left arrow and index for down arrow, then for my right hand I use my middle finger for the right arrow then index for up arrows.

Let's see. I use my right hand, and right hand only. Index finger on left, middle finger on down, ring finger on right. The middle finger can move up to for up arrows. Don't raise your fingers off the keys, if you do that, then you can not lower them fast enough to even attemp the harder songs. Your ring finger should never move. Your index's only use besides the left arrows is to help with the double up/downs where the middle finger takes the up and the index the bottom. It's hard to get used to doing that, I still have trouble with up/downs, which destroys my combos. For instance on mega man, there's some easy ups downs and rights, then one fast left to an up/down and I've only made that transition twice, which makes my combo go from 40ish to 90ish. Do whatever feels comfterable though.

KEY:
LI = Left Index
LM = Left Middle
RI = Right Index
RM = Right Middle
R = Right Arrow
L = Left Arrow
U = Up Arrow
D = Down Arrow

LI goes to D
LM goes to L
RI goes to U
RM goes to D

that was an odd way of saying it, but I get what your saying.

left index on down
left middle on left
right index on up
right middle on right

hmm, I could never play like that, to cramped. But I guess whatever you get used to works.

doesn't matter. all styles work, if u are good enough at them. i use 1 hand, standard pos. and i can crush all the hard songs...

thanks for the help but i found out (what i think is a cool way to position your fingers ) that if you use your left middle on the left arrow, your left index on the down arrow,(take num lock off) and put your rigth index on the 8 on the num pad, and your right middle on the 6. this way youre not cramped and they go in order as they are at the top of the screen so not only are you matching arrows but actually they are in order (they could be circles for all i care). thanks again and it seems this seems to be easiest for me
