    Downloading FFR on chromebook?

Right now I can only use a chromebook (main computer is at another place) and also flash is gone. How I can play now?

It's in a .zip file which I cannot extract and also inside is a .exe which chromebooks can't open either.

Chrome OS is basically just android and linux squished into a laptop so it only can open apks and linux stuff.

Oh. Then, no. As far as I know.

Maybe you could try following the steps in this article and this other article?

For the first article, refer to Option Two: Install Crouton to run Linux, within which you could install Wine (software that runs Windows programs on non-Windows operating systems). The second article contains instructions on installing Crouton.

The reason why you can't just install Wine on Chromebooks is because there isn't a version of Wine that works on ChromeOS. So, we need to install an additional operating system that Wine supports, which is Linux in this case.

There is another way: If the Chromebook you're using isn't a school laptop, and you don't need ChromeOS for anything else other than homework, you could try to remove ChromeOS and install Linux so that you could get FFR running. But that is a relatively risky method, and it's probably excessive for your case.

I hope these articles could help you. If you've got any questions or problems when installing Crouton, Linux, and Wine, feel free to tell us.

I just found out that my school somehow blocked linux on chromebooks.

I do know apks work though.

edit: now I just found out apks DON'T work unless I turn on developer mode which wipes all your data which I don't want since it's a school laptop. Basically I am screwed.

So, does Wine for Android not work on your Chromebook? From the first article, Option Two mentions that you could install Wine for Android on Chromebooks that could run Android apps, and forgo the whole Crouton installation process.

If you happen to get anything '.exe' working, or find something to edit pre-existing .dll files, this might be of use.

For Windows, these are automated ways to patch any pre-existing version of flash to remove the associated timebomb that causes flash not to run. Browsers will still tell you it's out of date, but it won't give you that icon anymore and will properly load.

For other systems, it details the process of manually patching the flash .dll files to remove the checks for the timebomb that causes flash not to run.
