It's really helped me unlearn some of the poor behaviors i've held onto for years cast by the mistakes I've made in my life that I was never able to truly forgive
It's about learning to embrace the fuckups and seeing why they weren't worth being ashamed of. All emotion is weighed in a silly rationalization complex one way or another. We can't hide who we are, we can only delude ourselves and lose value. React how you want, I'm not your leader, I'm just offering some perspective from my sessions. I'm far from finished getting rid of whatever makes me irresponsible to myself and in no position to teach anyone anything yet. But at the same time, I can't help but wonder if a person positioning themselves to serve a greater good would still let themselves have exclusive commitment to a single individual. It's like, I'm irrelevant in a bigger picture, but the bigger picture is a motivating relevance to me. I would want a girlfriend, but I don't think I'm ready until I can learn to respect her without disrespecting myself to provide that. So until then, I can only learn to care for myself first
