Hi guys, its been a long time! I thought about making a thread of this when I got the news, but kept forgetting lol. SORRY! This thread is gonna be very long because this means so, so, so, sooooo much to me I want to tell the whole story lol but ill make a tldr if ur a bitch 
Anyways, its as the title says, Iv'e joined a local metal band. The bassist of the band is the only original member left, and hasn't had a full line-up for over a year. I've been friends with the dude for years, way back in high school. He's actually been trying to get me to join for a long time, but I wasnt self confident in the slightest but wanted to make my own band when I felt ready. Well, I was ready for 3+ years and nothing was seen to fruition. Here's whats crazy; I randomly ran into tyler(the bassist) on my birthday this year... that no one made a thread of i might add PUNKS. Anyway, we were at a korean buffet and he was there for another person's birthday that day. We started talking and drinking and he ended up giving me one of the band shirts as a gift. That's when he asked me to join the band. I told him I would think about it and give him an answer in a few days. Well, obvious what decision I made haha, but of course I had to audition and stuff. Breezed right through it. When I was in, I guess he had a show before my birthday(just played the drum backing track on the PA and dual connected the guitar and bass rig to play both... who does that and gets away with it rofl?!), where he met our drummer now, Matt. Dunno how he met our vocalist Corey, but that ***** has a fucking huge van for band shit that will make tours possible and cheaper. Ty met him a few days after seeing me. And he can ACTUALLY SING TOO lol. So everything that wasn't on the plate for the band, and even less on that plate when no one was in the band anymore, just appears in a month. If that's not fucking destiny, I don't know what is. Now we have 3 shows coming up playing with Enterprise Earth, Dying Fetus, And Whitechapel just to name a few. The dream is happening, guys. This is it!
tldr: freak chance meeting long time friend who needs bandmates, gets together a full lineup within the next month, now has shows booked with big bands all this year.
