i have quality announcement to make,

Today at approximately 8:38am EST my computer keyboard glitched out and refused to input any keyboard button. It would input what appeared to be shortcut commands instead. It also made it so that every time I clicked a link inside a browser it would open a new tab. Upon restarting my computer to see if it would fix anything, upon starting the BIOS it gave me a 'keyboard error'.

Lest we remember the good and bad times I had with a great $5 wal-mart keyboard the memories it allowed me to have I will never forget. So today we mourn a keyboard that has lasted 3 generations of computers by my side, and took me on a tour from D2 to D6.

RIP my ONN slim keyboard model no. OBNNHK2028. You will be sorely missed because HP is a fuckin piece of shit.

also now my ONN keyboard is a virus because it affects every computer I plug it into, and affects it until someone restarts their computer and plugs in a new keyboard after they logged in and are on their desktop. Can someone who's good with computers help me determine the cause of death? Would be appreciated.

It's not a USB issue, because the mouse, headset, and even printer still works when it happens.

It's not a registry issue, because it works after a computer reset and plugging in a different keyboard. I also checked the registry specifically for my ONN keyboard and everything checks out fine.

It's not a computer issue, because it would probably cease working with all other keyboards if that was the case, and I'm currently typing on an HP keyboard.

I'm thinking it's a driver issue, but that doesn't solve how the issue is transferable between keyboards within the same session.

It was 8:30 in the morning... Most people went to work lol

Are there any programmable buttons or macro buttons on there? None of the keys are physically stuck?

        It should work now.
        You're welcome!

It's more of a problem at really high levels, but never totally concrete.

Ripped the entire thing apart, none of the keys are physically stuck. The plastic sheet over top of the board which what keeps the keys elevated is a bit of a wreck but is otherwise in working order.

I loved it how you could rip off the keys, put the little plastic tabs in backwards that were underneath the key, and then put the key back on and have the key permanently compressed.

It really took off a ton of pressure off of having to push the key down to register, and it didn't break key registry in any way whatsoever.

In other news my new HP keyboard has succeeded at making me D5
