5 minutes is a long time to wait for arrow smashing. I don't think I could handle it either.

Mine does too (usually a lot longer I think) and if it crashes at any point for any reason I cry for at least a week. (The week it takes to load back up). When I tell people it takes a long time on SMO they always tell me to do something.. but I've never done it because I don't know how to do whatever it is they tell me to do. Putting my SM somewhere online and accessing it like a launcher would access an MMO or something? Idk.
Edit: Opening SM now just to time it (I'm curious).
Edit2: Taking a LOT longer than I expected. I was never sure because I normally click to open it and then walk away / go to the bathroom / get a drink / chat in PC or TS / Skype etc. I never actually pay attention and specifically wait for it so it seems to go by faster I think.

I have separate Stepmanias for separate playstyles so that I can distribute the songs across multiple programs which results in faster load times

I have one stepmania for pad and another for kb,but both take about 3 mins to load anyways.

aren't there options in settings to prevent reloading of songs that have already been loaded before?
Found that was usually the problem for long wait times on startup. Load songs that only have had changes done to them.Last edited by gold stinger; 02-7-2015, 04:52 PM.
