if you have an ipad, technika q is great practice to prep you for the arcade cab (3 lane vs 4 lane). requires a lot of grinding and a little money investment if you want more songs though, lol.
once you have the fundamentals down, you should really start practicing purple notes as that's pretty much the hardest thing to do when you have stream and chain notes going on at the same time.Comment

it was a used one from an arcade that was struggling. got it for about $2500. so it was a steal

yeah i can say i was quite surprised at the price. still working on finding a long enough cable to connect it to the internet, but soon enough ill have everything set up and going.Comment

for the record, the official technika servers are all offline and taken down, due to pentavision's merger with gameon studios. basically, technika as an arcade game is dead and no longer under support from the developers, and they're pushing more towards development of other games. technika tune (ps vita) and technika q (ios) ports are the only ones that still receive some miniscule updates here and there.
there is a private server hosted on sows that you can connect to, but you need an account there and know-how on how to do it. just simply hooking your cab to the internet isn't going to make your machine online when there's no official server anymore, lol—already existing cabs are all either offline or connected to the private one.Last edited by Gundam-Dude; 12-17-2014, 05:58 AM.Comment

It's a lot of fun, and fortunately the private server has everything unlocked now, including the timed-events (yay EX charts from the Summer event).Comment
