for those of you who don't know, sound voltex is basically what happens when japan decides to make everyone who plays stepmania feel lame as fuck (although it kinda backfired and now everyone steps sound voltex music for stepmania rip)
to get the setup for sound voltex, simply take your standard 4key spread, blow up the size of the keys, add two more buttons that add effects to the music in real time BEHIND the keys, and finally place knobs that control filters on either side of the keys
to make things more interesting, (almost) everything in sound voltex is fan-made, so naturally the song list contains a lot of well-known bms artists
since this also includes the charts, another side effect is that it's showing signs of falling victim to osu syndrome, aka koreans saying that the game is way too easy i mean look at this little kid shit
totally real fact and not something i just made up: the guy playing is an 11 year old korean who saw the game for the first time 6 hours prior to making this vid
so to make up for this, the newest version of sdvx has several new features designed to fuck with players including lane tilting which i can't find a good video of atm- just imagine being forced to switch from distant to overhead mid-song
