    Monstercat Cut/Reserve Thread

    Due to Monstercat batch finally opening, I am offering to make cuts for any tracks you may be interested in stepping.

    Cutting a track down will not only make it easier to step, but it will also increase your chances of getting a file into FFR. Monstercat's whole premise is EDM (whether it be 4-on-the-floor electro/house/dub or kick-snare-kick-kick-snare style dnb), which doesn't lend itself easily to stepping. Cutting would only benefit everyone.

    If you're interested in having me make a cut, PM with track name (dl would be appreciated but not needed).

          Can this be also a monstercat reserve thread? I wanna call dibs on a few songs so people don't waste their time creating their version

                  If they allow dibs there wont be any pressure. I think if more than one person is stepping a file the pressure is on, and a better file will be created by both parties. :P

                  Though perhaps a list of what is being stepped right now, if the person wants to publicize, it would be cool.

                          I only wish Killin' It was more steppable :/
                          I rather like that song but the only remotely rhythmically interesting parts are the drum buildups before the drops.
                          The drops themselves are just long wubs with very few distinct instruments to step.

                          Thankfully Krewella has other fairly steppable songs so I know someone will eventually go for one of their tunes.


                          I'll probably be stepping a Nitro Fun song, perfect blend of electro beat with chiptune-y bleeps that I can put a billion arrows to.

                              I can assist in updating this thread for that purpose; it would be nice to have a general hub for everything in regards to Monstercat.

                                      Just remember that we only have permission for the Krewella songs released through Monstercat. Their other releases are owned by Columbia.

                                          Oh, for sure. Gotta double check every song you use for permission, I always do that.

                                                          Is there someone here who'd be willing to judge how I cut the song? Like I loathe cutting songs and normally won't for this reason, but I feel as if I had to try it myself before asking for any help. I'd appreciate it.

                                                          Also you guys charting rainbow road, if I don't see one of every color I am going to be really sad at the missed opportunity.
