    Favorite Obsure Manga

What are your favorite obscure manga (that haven't been turned into a popular anime) and why? By obscure manga, I mean manga which most people who read manga casually haven't heard of. Also, I would prefer that the manga hasn't been licensed. ^.^ In general, I love manga that is based on real life and that doesn't have too much action. I also like manga with a lot of adventure and characters who have unusual personalities and character development. ^.^

My favorite manga are 3 AM DANGEROUS ZONE, A House in Venice, and No. 6. I am fond of 3 AM because I think the main character has a really unique personality and the environment of working into the nighttime isn't usually portrayed in manga. I like A House In Venice a lot because the main character is very introspective and curious, I love reading manga about art, and there's a slight focus on mystery and observation. I also particularly love No. 6 because the main characters' personalities are very unique to me. I also find it interesting to see how people behave in a poverty-stricken environment.

Thank you in advance for responding!

Read Denpa Kyoushi manga chapters for free.Denpa Kyoushi scans. You could read the latest and hottest Denpa Kyoushi manga in MangaHere.

I read this one like a crack addict. It's absurd as hell what it is but you know it's just done well enough. Few male characters in anime / manga actually catch my eye as entertaining (I can only name two anime that do this: Hachiman from Yahare and Kirito from SOA. I dis-include N because he was a game character first.) But the teacher character is fucking hilarious. I'd LOVE to see this done into an anime. It'd be pretty hard to mess up.

I read the first two chapters of this manga yesterday; it was really interesting to me, but it's not an atmosphere I particularly like a lot. Thank you, I enjoyed reading it though!

dunno how obscure it is, but since I don't hear about it, Clover was a pretty good manga imo

                also Bamboo Blade...but like, that's semi-obscure I think

I can attest that Holyland is a fantastic manga, with an amazingly satisfying ending!

As for my favourite obscure manga, that would be Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou. It's not so obscure, it's more that the many people that attempt to read it fail to complete it. It's an amazing story, an amazing slice of life, and very uplifting in an odd way.

In a post-apocalyptic world where an environmental disaster led to the eruption of Mt. Fuji and the inundation of Yokohama, the age of humans is in its twilight. Alpha Hatsuseno is an android and the namesake of a small cafe outside Yokohama. As her owner is away on a trip indefinitely, she has been left responsible for running the cafe. Although she rarely gets any customers, Alpha remains outgoing and cheerful. While Alpha awaits her owner's homecoming, she explores the vicinity with her scooter and camera. Throughout her journeys, she meets new people and other androids, making memories along the way. Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou is a beautiful, laid-back story centered around Alpha's daily activities, emphasizing the passing of time in everyday life. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

I should read Clover, CLAMP stuff usually seems pretty good. Bamboo blade was decent, but it was adapted as an anime so dunno if that counts. I... actually have nothing to add unfortunately. I've never read any mainstream manga but all the stuff I do read doesn't quite count as obscure.

Though if I'm allowed to mention light novels, Utsuro no Hako to Zero no Maria is really good.

Disregarding obscurity one of my favorites is Binbougami Ga!.

I am currently reading Kuragehime because the anime just kind of ended.

After rigorously training for three years, the ordinary Saitama has gained immense strength which allows him to take out anyone and anything with just one punch. He decides to put his new skill to good use by becoming a hero. However, he quickly becomes bored with easily defeating monsters, and wants someone to give him a challenge to bring back the spark of being a hero. Upon bearing witness to Saitama's amazing power, Genos, a cyborg, is determined to become Saitama's apprentice. During this time, Saitama realizes he is neither getting the recognition that he deserves nor known by the people due to him not being a part of the Hero Association. Wanting to boost his reputation, Saitama decides to have Genos register with him, in exchange for taking him in as a pupil. Together, the two begin working their way up toward becoming true heroes, hoping to find strong enemies and earn respect in the process. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

not as obscure as the next 2, but its pretty funny and does a good job of mixing in moments of insane badassery and cool fighting with plenty of comedy.
High school is home to all kinds of new encounters and people, but for Renge Ooyama, her first encounter with a classmate was much weirder than she expected. When Renge meets her classmate Sumire Yotsuya, the latter is clearly not the 16-year-old student she claims to be, but instead is a wooden puppet operated by an old man dressed in black. Though the students and faculty attempt to ward off the man, he refuses to break character and only gives confused responses from the puppet Sumire. Thanks to the principal seeing Sumire as a real girl, teachers and pupils alike must accept this new and odd student as the normal person "she" claims to be. Now classmates with Sumire, Renge is creeped out when "she" insists they hang out and become friends, and worries how it might affect her reputation at school. However, when Renge falls into trouble, it's none other than Sumire who comes to her aid. Finding that Sumire (and the old man) aren't so bad after all, she decides to give "her" a shot. Sumire♡16-sai!! follows Renge and her schoolmates as they attend school with this masquerader and come to realize that despite the wooden body, Sumire's heart is certainly real. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

slice of lifey but the main character is a doll controled by an old man trying to live as a normal highschool girl. every chapter is pretty funny.
