Assorted (and sexy) 8-bit Game Music

I've been really ramping up my compositions in FamiTracker after a long dormant period, as I have likely mentioned that I am undertaking the first steps to developing a platformer game. This thread will contain the music I intend to put in it, so it'll be continuously updated as I gradually finish more tracks to upload. I'll put the first ones in here and gradually post more as I make them. Feedback is always appreciated and encouraged! I hope this turns out really well, as I still have so much to learn about making good chiptunes and songs, and making this game will be an excellent way to educate and improve myself.

Newest Track: Inside the Base (Hangin' Out) - 1/12/2014

The first track of 2014! Or rather, a loop-ish song (it's ~43 seconds long, so probably more of a loop than anything). This was intentionally designed to be technically and melodically simple - it's the music you hear when you are inside the main headquarters of the game, and as such I wanted it to seem simple and inviting. Personally I think this is catchy as hell, and it's something you can do a mini-dance to despite the smattering of odd time signatures (there is a lot of 19/8 and 17/8 used). Enjoy!

    Sky Base - 12/30/2013

Another song for that project. This one actually turned out pretty good, even if the melodies are a little powerful for level music! (its what I made it as, hence no beginning or ending) I think it's pretty catchy overall, and it's really an energetic piece. I especially like the use of bitonality throughout the song, and for the chorus/backing synth. It's not something I normally do, but I figure I'd expand on it this time around. Enjoy!

The Golden Tower (Loop) - 12/30/2013

A roughly 1:12 long track that loops every 18 seconds or so. I typically don't make songs that repeat so much, but it seemed perfect as is - I am not the best at composing unique melodies and personally I find it pretty catchy as is. I fiddled with this a little bit in Audacity to give it a stereo-sound of sorts - one of the many reasons I love FamiTracker so much is that it lets you export individual channels, letting you control the individual values of each one in separate sound-editing programs.

Okay, here's another song (two in a day? o_O). This one isn't necessarily for the game per se (though I might use some parts of it). I slapped an ending together (the part I am always terrible at) and published it, since it's been sitting in my folder for eight months and I really did not want it to go to waste. I really liked how it turned out, save for perhaps the last 30 seconds. This one was composed in a vaguely symphonic way, as I wanted to take a slightly different approach in the way this song was composed.
