btw, is this the first actual academic paper written on StepMania?

just reading the first paragraph you use passive voice in like every sentence. I'm not a passive voice nazi like a lot of profs are, but it really strengthens your writing when you use stronger verbs and use passive voice sparingly. Use it to create variety in your sentences; don't use it as the only way you construct a point
