Re: what font is used
I doubt too, but if it's for personal usage or whatever, I'm sure somebody will be informed enough to give him an alternative. If you ask for it 'course.Comment

Re: what font is used
Kind of curious as to why you need to know?
If you need to, just use variants. (eg. Impact with some fine tuning and thickness for "underground")Comment

Similar to Impact but overall more "square-ish" :

Re: what font is used
The point on the inside of the G doesn't stick in (looks more like a C with an upward motion on the bottom half) and the D's need to look more like O's. However, if it were me, I would consider that to be close enough.
If you tamper around with it, you can temper it into shape. It's close enough that you can edit it to your preference.Comment

Re: what font is used
Other than manually searching for the closest match, I tried doing a "What The Font" search on the V, and these were the results.
Identify fonts with our font finder tool using an image or photo. Upload an image, and we’ll search our collection of over 233,000 fonts for the best match.
Question, are you hoping to find a font that just involves the outline, or are you hoping to find a font that has the shading inside it as well?
Honestly your best bet would be to go with Univers ExtraBlack and manipulate the letters to suit your needs, though characters will not be as rounded. What are you looking to do with the font?Last edited by Spenner; 08-22-2013, 11:57 AM.

Re: what font is used
come to think of it, the O in 'vol.1' and the O in 'underground' look completely different too. It has to have been done by hand.
I'll be actually really damn surprised if it's not.
edit: the slanting on the handwriting keeps changing up too-- sign of human error showing through. (unless I'm imagining it..)
edit2: I don't know why I didn't do this sooner

(scaled?)
these are copies of the original image. The one we are inspecting is scaled, so I probably should keep my mouth shut about human error. It's probably impossible to actually tell if it was done by hand now because of scaling/anti-alias techniques skewing the reality of the design.
edit3: I have no clue what to think now because of that. Either it's a font and it got a little messed up because it's being used at a small px, or it was a pixel artist who did it themselves.
Anyway, I highly doubt there is an exact copy of that font on the internet. Final answer.Last edited by Pseudo Enigma; 08-22-2013, 12:26 PM.Comment
