    FL Studio seems very slow

    So here we go
I turned on my laptop after one week of inactivity because I wasn't home and FL Studio has been weird since that time.
When I play a project with a lots of vst playing at the same times, it's like the sound stacks up, clicks a LOT and FL slows down.
I usually hear some clicks when making music but this is really intense and it makes the whole soft barely unusable mainly because of how slow it gets. It's having huge difficulties running all these sounds together and playing them.

    Any tips ?

Buy an audio interface... you have latency issues.

I can recommend Komplete Audio 6

I mean it makes the software very laggy, do you think an hardware solution will fix it ?
And I want to know why it had been made worse than ever before.

Of course it will, audio interfaces are there so that you can run more and more VSTs and input midi input / audio input without latency (lag basically)

what is causing this onset of more lag i do not know but with an audio interface you will not (or rarely) have underruns and latency issues, guaranteed. Downside is, it costs a bit of money. (starting in the low hundreds and going up into the thousands)

Bounce some audio? Helps reduce CPU usage for me since I can't afford high-end equipment.

What sound driver are you using?
I've seen a lot of people that switch from their primary sound driver to asio4all and it seems to solve a lot of that. Just sounds like your CPU can't handle it haha. I've had this issue in the past as well but now I just use the asio driver
I've also seen people that have it really laggy on the asio driver just switch back to their primary sound driver

If none of that works you'll have to do more researche or just export your vst midi clips as wav files and drag them back in so that you're powering the song with audio files and not midi which reduces the cpu usage tons haha

the asio/primary driver thing worked wonders for me.
but now, for some reason, my aiso is 't working.
randomly just will not emit sound.
so now i either have to use my blue microphone asio driver(which means i need to have my mic with me everywhere)
                or primary.

so now im using primary woop
i just turned t=down the play quality so everything would work quicker

Yeh asio has given me problems in the past when the primary driver has worked wonders, and vice versa. Seems a bit unpredictable, but the only scenario that asio is required is for controllers and stuff, so if i'm not using controllers, i'll just switch to whatever driver works better

Honestly all i can say is test diff drivers

Re: FL Studio seems very slow

Okay guys sorry for the long absence of reply I wasn't at home (I'm back since just a few days and remembered this thread) and I really appreciate the help and advices you gave. Love. <3

My problem has been fixed since I discovered the problem wasn't my sound driver, it was my cpu. I fixed the problem since (for no apparent reason my computer had been set on "battery saving mode" thus affecting the global performances of it all) and it works like it always worked before. Sorry for the useless thread still, I just help this could help other people experiencing true problems with their sound driver
