    Question about voice pitch range

I've always wondered where my voice was, pitch-wise and haven't had a very precise way to figure this out. A voice teacher I had wasn't sure. I've tried using the pitch-analysis thing in Audacity but had no idea how to interpret the results.

MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.

This is a quick clip (1 min) of me talking. If you know what the pitches of these are (talking range, lowest, highest) I would love you forever.

You sound like a baritone to me...kind of the same as myself.

you hit an Eb-ish comfortably during your low voice; as a bass, i'm usually pushing out Ds and Cbs and such (even though i'm most comfortable as a baritone.

your speaking tone seems to be between a G/G#

as for your high voice, you were flipping into falsetto, which makes it hard to really discern whether you're a baritone/bass. I'm really leaning more towards baritone, because it's just similar to what my voice sounds like. My range personally covers bass to tenor 2, but most comfy in baritone. The upper "comfy" talking range you used (D then a C for "high - voice"), that octave right there is pretty much baritone range, although with vocal training and crap, you can probably extend higher

Hey, that's really awesome feedback, Yoshi. Do you think that this might be an accurate label?

i'd say, stick with Bass if you're not too comfortable with the upper notes in that register (notes around middle C), because for most cases, basses usually don't dip down below E/Fs. If that upper range, up to about like, an E above middle C are fine for your chest voice (without flipping into falsetto), then you can probably say Bass-baritone/baritone
