DISPLACED (work in progress)

Sorry for the absence! All these medications have been kicking my butt big time but I'm feeling well enough to get back into singing and recording more work for Undercover Apple's 2nd release.
This one is called Displaced (Empty Room / Empty Face) and is honestly really about how I've been feeling the last 6 months. As you may or may not know, I've been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease which basically attacks my kidney like no tomorrow and there isn't a treatment for it, so basically it will lose its function until it can't filter anymore and I will need dialysis (or a transplant if I'm lucky, but that'll just be resetting the hourglass until it happens again).
[Lyrics]
Words fell out from our mouths
Like they had so much weight
Each syllable was so heavy
All their meanings filled up the empty space
The time has come
For me to say sorry
For what I've become
An empty room
An empty face
A hollow boy
At home when he's displaced
Conversation in a pause
There's something wrong with the reels
As the film spins uncontrollably
Each scene led up to how I feel
The time has come
For me to say sorry
For what I've become
An empty room
An empty face
A hollow boy
At home when he's displaced
In light of all this though, I have found about more about myself and sometimes being "displaced' is actually comforting and depressing at the same time.
So far I have the 1st and 2nd verses recorded with the chorus (Emie will be singing along side me in the chorus as well) and the bridge isn't written yet so there's just some filler music for the last quarter of the song.
Thanks for listening!
