    Strange Request...

Does anyone know where to get an a capella of "Stupid Hoe" by Nicki Minaj? Or at least some sort of technique or software to make one from the original song? I was planning on doing a joke remix for a friend but I can't find it anywhere. xD

    Two things you can do.

A: Check acapella websites such as "acapellas4u" etc..

B: Find the instrumental for it, reverse the polarity (or whatever, the stereo, not sure, check a fruity loops edison (or audacity) tutorial) and layer it onto the full track. The reversed instrumental will remove the instrumental from the original track leaving you with the acapella. However, it will not be the GREATEST quality. Still usable though.

I'm sorry if that didn't make very much sense. Just know that if you have the instrumental and the full track, its possible. Youtube can give you the specifics.

There is also some software that clams to pull an acapella out of a track but it will sound really shitty, and if you're trying to remix this song, it won't be good enough.

Youtube isn't a bad place to look too.

Audacity recommended for reversing polarity over edison :P

But the drums tend to bleed a lot when using this method, I recommend just searching around for a studio a capella like he said at acapellas4u

        ...I can't find anything.

Google and Youtube didn't help, and there's only a small snippet of the Studio Acapella that's been released.

Another method which I find useful is by doing the extraction manually. This can be done within most sound editors, even audacity. Do a google search on how to do this. (But you need to have a perfect instrumental of it in order for this method to work)
