    FFR Idea: Song Guessing Jackpot thread

    (So, I had a very good idea come to me in prochat as to adding another prize winning game to FFR. This is just an idea, and ANY support towards this idea would be extremely helpful so be sure to give me your input as well.)

    The Idea:
    Each day, a random song will be picked to be the "winning song" and everyone gets to have a chance to participate in guessing which song was picked as the winning song. You are allowed up to three guesses. You must buy your guesses for 200 credits per guess. And if you guess the song right, (because the odds are so small that you will pick it) you will be awarded credits!

    -Each day the winning song is not picked, the jackpot should move up another 10,000 credits, to a cap of 200,000. Of course, there are a ton of songs to choose from, so each day that goes by should NOT change the position of the winning song.

    - The minimum amount of credits you can win should stay the same, and not like the FFR Credit Jackpot where it changes based on how many people guessed. The Song Guessing Jackpot won't die [as fast] like the FFR Credit Jackpot, because the amount of credits you can win will always be a minimum of 20,000.


    -The amount of credits won will be determined by how many guesses you took:

    -1 guess = x3 credit jackpot bonus
    -2 guesses = x2 credit jackpot bonus
    -3 guesses = no jackpot bonus

    That's pretty much what I'v got. Feel free to change/add/remove anything in this idea. I truly appreciate your help guys, thank you.

      Well, this potentially adds credits to the FFR economy, which is, as we all know, the one thing FFR-led credit games can never do.

          Oh, figured this would be guess amount of songs played in a day, too. System revamp of how it works would be nice, but I guess this idea's fine, too :P

                  How about put the pot 500,000 credits at first then take 5k off the pot for every wrong guess. Meaning if the first person guesses the song exactly right, then that person is not only lucky as f**k, but rich too. Also that will ensure that there won't be a winner every single day, but like once every 3 days on average. The amount of guesses per day is fine though.

                  Also I want to throw in that it should cost 5k per guess per account per IP address so that for one: Credits are actually spent, and two: Nobody make alts just to try to guess three more times after transferring credits to that account.

                      I was thinking of doing the same thing with making a massive pot, and taking credits away from it, but when you do that you lose the incentive for people to guess again. It's better for the credit pot to go upwards, that way more people want to guess as the pot gets bigger. Reversing your idea, I could also add 5k every time a guess was incorrect instead of just adding 10k to the pot every day which would bring the pot up much, much faster, thus increasing incentive. Very good suggestion.

                      This would be an excellent idea, as many people know that you are capable of guessing multiple times in the Credit Jackpot by using Alts.
                      For the 5k per guess, that's a bit expensive. Limiting the guess amount to 200 is something that appeals to everyone.

                          Really all you're suggesting is a lottery by guessing a random number from 1-1400~, so you may as well just suggest a normal number lottery.

                              This confuses me. 5k per guess per account per IP address? So, if there are multiple accounts on my IP address (multiple alts that I've used for various reasons, plus Kayla and anything she might have), I'm going to pay 5k times x, with x being the number of accounts on my IP? I don't think so. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

                              Although, to be quite honest - I'm with dragonmegaXX/mi40 on this one; it's just like a random lottery and it seems like a waste of dev-team effort.
