    And yeah poutines happened. Mine's on the right.

    Mine: "Mega BBQ macncheese poutine", mac and cheese, bbq sauce, chicken, bacon.

    Andy: "Double pork", pulled pork and bacon.

                                                          In its most basic, traditional aspect, it's french fries with a special type of gravy along with cheese curds.

                                                          Culturally, Mexican restaurants have something similar. You might've heard of Mexi-fries in certain Mexican food outlets, and their version would include jalapeno peppers, salsa, cheese, amongst other things. Poutine is just Quebec's version of their dressed-up fries.
