    Show some respect to women

    Now, before I get all shot down, let me just say I don't mean all holding doors open and "ladies first" and all that stuff. But at least show some respect .. and what I mean by that is at least don't go blatantly disrespecting women by continuing to push sexual advances they don't want. If a woman tells you she doesn't like the advances, then you don't keep doing it.

    I'm not naming names, but if you're reading this and you know who you are, just stop it okay? You wouldn't continue to make sexual advances towards a man if he kept telling you he wasn't interested so stop doing it with the ladies. Not just with this specific incident, but in general, because not only is it very unwanted, but you're never going to "win over" a woman doing this.

    If you would rethink your approach and show a little respect, on the other hand, you might even be pleasantly surprised by the outcome. But it's important to be mutual. Also accept that not every woman will be interested in you even if you're interested in her.

      assuming women wouldn't make sexual advancements men don't want is false and sexist. I agree people should treat each other with respect. we are all sexual beings that want love that varies from the standard average. some people want sex from lots of different people, others want intense love and connection from one person, most people lie between the two spectrums. what gender you are isn't that big a factor.

          Honestly should have just PM'd the person about it, I obviously don't know shit about what's happened .. but a thread about the subject probably wasn't needed. I mean, most of the people here in our community DO respect women .. So the last thing we need are some arguements and finger pointing, etc. Just my two cents.

              I'm not assuming that at all and in fact this thread is to address a specific incident which took place. Names and details have been left out but if the intended recipient reads this he should get the point.

              But yes, you're right in that everyone should treat everyone with at least some amount of respect. In general, if sexual advances aren't welcomed and a person informs you of such, then don't keep pushing -- move on, regardless of gender.

              Let's just say the specific thing which happened was very very inappropriate and I am in no way accusing most people of such actions. He'll know who he is. In a way, yes, he does need to publicly see this because it is becoming a problem. He doesn't have to reply -- I have a feeling he'll see the thread and that'll be enough.

                                      Just kidding. I play soccer at University, and the way my teammates and most college athletes treat women is horrifying. It's like a game to see who can get laid the most. They do not care at all for the individuals they have intercourse with nor are they shameful about their whoring behavior. It's shocking tbh.

                                          But on a serious note, I absolutely respect women, as do most of the people on this site. But this definitely should be left to PMs (or Facebook status lol) and it's not all about women. Men experience similar things too.

                                                  That kinda goes for people in general. Most people don't get a golden ticket which rewards them with respect right off the snap.

                                                  However I'm generally respectful to everyone regardless of what beef i have with them s: just something I do.

                                                  But yeah if you're trying to change someone's mind about scoping out sexual things, which is ingrained in their mind as something they want to openly seek out, not sure if the content of this thread is going to be an eye opener. There's nothing that's really going to change their mind and have them actively thinking in a different fashion other than having "you're wrong" in the back of their mind.

                                                      I think you are confusing his definition of "respect" with the actual definition of respect. He is looking at respect in the specific case of sexuality vs the generic definition where one treats other well in all areas (physically, emotionally, socially, etc.)

                                                      But you are correct. Respect must be earned.
