Yeah, I definitely don't play token songs as much simply because they aren't public and don't have any benefit toward my ave rank. It's definitely an interesting topic and I think it would be cool to see something changed with them.

There's token level ranks when you go to profiles unless you mean actually like a bar on the profile or something.

What he's saying is also having token songs added to the long list of public songs, which will then count towards your average rank. If this is going to happen, then token songs that we don't have shouldn't be on the list until the token is gotten. This will represent fairness with your average rank, rather than watch everyone's average rank go up because they don't have Oni or some stupid anti-skill token song.

This was basically my gripe against token songs counting towards tier points. Yeah, Nanairopanda v2 is a hard enough file to deserve a TP rating, but it's one of the more infamously difficult unlocks. And seriously, who gives a fuck about solving riddles to unlock Gaussian Blur 1?

The Gaussian Blur riddle is BRLNT, and having solved it myself, I SERIOUSLY doubt 95% of the unlocks for that song are legit.

Nanairopanda v2 isn't THAT hard to unlock. I think most of the people who think it's hard just haven't tried very hard, or saw the requirements and didn't even bother.

do you really want some of those trashy shit charts killing ranks?

I sure don't want to see 404th July w/e it's called anywhere near my level ranks.

MAMA is frustrating, but legit. It doesn't have chunky flow-destroying hands latched onto the tail end of 2-frame jacks the way, say, Flesvelka does.

I agree that token songs deserve more attention; I'm leaning towards the side of including token scores in level ranks and AAA counts. If you're at the point where you care about level ranks and AAA counts, you should have either the skill or patience to unlock token songs, and as fewer people have unlocked the more difficult tokens, they will affect your ranks less as the difficulty requirements increase, which I view as a fair balance. 404th of July is a good example - if your average rank is high enough to be negatively affected by a low score, then you should possess the ability to at least unlock the song.
