    DDR World Record Attempt - 40 hours, 2 pads

    Hello everyone! I just wanted to spread the word on my DDR world record attempt I will be performing on 11/23/2012 5am (EST) to 11/24/2012 9pm (EST). Last year I attempted to set the world record to 40 hours. Guinness found fault in my evidence that I provided (not enough information regarding the witness statement, bad camera angle in one of the videos, time lapse photos had issues). I decided to attempt this record a 2nd time, this time on doubles play.

    The basic rules are: I have to star ton the easiest difficulty level and move up one ever 5 hours. I am given a 5 minute break for every full hour completed that I can bank to use at a later time. If I fail a song, the attempt is over.

    I will not be using the bar and I will be playing on DanceDanceRevoltuon X2. A live stream will be running to show the event @ http://www.twitch.tv/ddrworldrecord The attempt will also be a charity drive to raise money for a local charity, Knoxville Area Rescue Ministries (KARM).

                  That's their rules. I plan to stick to 8s to 12s for most of the attempt. Taking from what I learned last year, one of the biggest hurdles is doing the same thing for 40 hours and over night. Red bull will be heavily utilized.

                  The physical endurance for this, though, will be immense. When I did this last year, I was pretty much heel toeing the pad. This year I don't have that luxury. Lasting 24 hours? sure. 32? that's pushing it. 40? We'll see about that...

                      I'm curious what they define by difficulty here. Feet? Light/standard/heavy? And do you have to play songs from a specific group (e.g. official DDR charts) or can you choose anything?

                              The difficulty refers to Basic (Light)-> Difficult (Standard) -> Expert (Heavy) and Challenge if it applicable. Once I reach the 20th hour, all charts have to be played at their highest available difficulty. No Challenge? Just play Expert.

                              Since this is on an X2, I have to play just the regular charts. No edits allowed.

                                                      Here's how I plan on ending my attempt, I will play the song list starting at the 40th hour and keep going until I'm utterly drained.
