Re: woo wip
still making chill stuff~
bass in the beginning took over the nice .. piano? melody; kinda want to hear that more. The ending chord at 0:17 seemed slightly awkward.. i was feeling the bass/weird phase thingy should go to a lower interval instead of repeating.
The high-pitched "doo-dit" at 0:29 was a lil... too high?... or a gain too loud ina way.
Iono, w.e man ignore my comments; can't wait for the complete product.

Re: woo wip
Among all the things you listed, this is the only thing I really agree with. It's considerably louder than any other channel, taking attention away from the stuff you really should be paying attention to.
I find the super slow sidechaining or whatever it's called a little annoying as well, but I tend to do that pretty much wherever and whenever it's used, so you can probably safely ignore my words here. )
Otherwise, great stuff as usual.
IT'S TOO SHORT THOUGH LOLComment

Re: woo wip
No need to shorten it up, it sounds fine the way it is; I'm just saying I've never liked it when people use sidechains in this fashion - it turns me off even when awesome artists like SHE does it - and think it would sound much much better with a really chill (very realistically) sampled bass riff instead. With that present, the sidechain channel could be used to fill the mids instead.
Again, this is just personal preference and I completely understand that this is not at all what you were going for.
edit: gonna download this and play around with it if you don't mind heheComment

Re: woo wip
http://soundcloud.com/stone-mcknuckle/ohaider/s-R78FC this is what my broken english was trying to say earlier. maybe with a little better mixed bass though - all I did was slap some reverb on it and adjust the volume heh
again, I realize this isn't what you were going for, but it's just what I feel would be the best approach.
ps the link is private and I'll take it down pretty soon in case you're feeling threatened by my audacity to upload it to soundcloud.Last edited by StoneMcKnuckle; 11-5-2012, 02:02 PM.Comment

Re: woo wip
mmm
you two just made sweet aural love to me but just like me, it climaxed much too soon. This sweetness must continue to linger in my ears for at least 4 minutes.
I'd pay for a physical release (ep / lp) of tunes like this btw :')
ps: now that i'm back for a small bit, what do we guys say to Omnicore II in let's say December, January at the latest? Gotta make it happen.Last edited by Coolboyrulez0; 11-5-2012, 02:05 PM.Comment

Re: woo wip
Alrighty, I'll start the thread once my move is complete so that there aren't any false dates or falsehoods for things I can't deliver.
Just start polishing your finest tunes and let the hype train begin, one thing I know for sure is that I'll only take .wavs this time.

For now... this our war banner -- until someone designs a proper album art, of course.
This is generally what I'd like it to look like: II in the background, typography similar to this, and the rainbow (omni) incorporated somewhere.Last edited by Coolboyrulez0; 11-5-2012, 02:24 PM.Comment

Re: woo wip
I saved the project file so I can send you the sample without anything slapped on it and/or add to it if you want me to. )

edit: whoa, nice font, horrible background.Comment
