    In a Row

inb4 "wow, chose the most overused movie to make a song out of"
inb4 "herogayshit stop making music you suck"
    etcetc

I've spent 2 hours making this, but I know there's a lot of flaws and stuff I can add. I plan on spending another hour or more on it, but here's what I have so far with it.

    Re: In a Row

    Listened. My thoughts:
-The instrument choice could be improved. The percussion and bass is fine, but the sharp 'click' instrument I heard in the beginning I kept thinking was an audio glitch until it started repeating. It probably needs softening. And the wub wub instrument is kind of dull - there's not much point going for a dubsteppy feel if you don't have good wubs to throw in. I'm not sure how hard it is to make good wubs? But I'm sure there are tutorials and stuff out there
-The part in the middle with all the quotes I think should have a buildup in intensity - start out with some very light percussion and vaguely haunting bass/melodies, and build it up to be more intense by the end. As it is it doesn't really go anywhere, and the fact that it doesn't fit a 4/4 rhythm can be good, but the tension of an odd key signature isn't really used to do anything.
-When the second wub part ends at 2:58 it just ends super abruptly. It needs to trail off or hit some kind of climax or have a cymbal crash or something
-And of course: More melodic aspects, plz :3 :3~

      Re: In a Row

I'm not that interested in Dubstep honestly, so this was new for me. I did search up how to make a wobble bass, but I dunno. I much prefer other genres.
And as I did say, I know a lot I could do to it, I just dunno if I can do it, when I only know how to make trance and normal techno.
Thanks for your input Patashu. I think I'm gonna stick with other genres.

What VST did you use for that wobble?

Only thing i'd say is maybe turn down the wobbles a tiny bit and emphasize the kick around 80-100 hz to make it more audible and punchy, i like it other than that

That hi-hat doesn't sound too great but I really like that snare. You should definitely turn down the wobble bass and try fooling around with frequencies a bit. Boost your snare around 200hz and the kick around 100hz (roughly, fine tune to make it sound how you want it) and they will come through your bass more. I don't know a whole lot more about mixing and whatnot but that always helps!
