When I started designing my bass I focused a lot on beefing up the sub layer, and having a subtle mid so it didn't sound so rough. I also threw a Phaser on the bass channel to cover even more of the mids.

I included a section at the end that was just my bassline so you could hear it more clearly.
The purpose of this thread is to try and learn some of your guys' techniques when it comes to designing basses, or if you have any suggestions on how to improve mine to make it sound more like my target, I would love to hear them!
