Head over to the Artist Permissions forum section for all the details on how you can get your music into the game.
You'll be able to ask for help, and hopefully find out if anyone is interested in immediately stepping your tunes.
Not a statement about the song, I just like 8-bit music haha. I spent two months on this song - I had such trouble coming up with good enough material to finish this song mostly because this song was infinitely more ambitious than my previous two works, which are very simple in comparison.
I won't ramble on too long, but I expanded my horizons quite a bit on this: I incorporated heavy use of the bass drum (and similar instruments), heavier use of the noise channel (Chris partially inspired that) and even tried my hand a mini-chiptune solo! I also made heavy use of arpeggios to lend a hand to the ominous feeling that is prevalent throughout most of the song.
Constructive criticism and feedback are appreciated.
This is so much better than the stuff you previously posted. There really isn't enough progressive chip around.
Thank you. This song was a tremendous leap forward for me - I wouldn't say that my previous stuff was bad (not a reflection from your comment), but it was just so *simple* compared to Mysterious Moon. This song completely pushed the boundaries in regards to the limited musical knowledge that I have, and it really gives me a significant level of confidence in what I can do - even the little chiptune solo at the end is a huge leap forward from the simple chords and rhythms I did in earlier songs.
Oh yeah, and my Dream Theater influence certainly doesn't hurt haha. I listen to them like crazy, and I find myself writing music along the lines of what they do more often than not.
sweet song. It actually feels like something Virt would do haha. What program did you use for this Logan?
Glad you liked it. I use FamiTracker for all composition. A pretty bare-bones version of it, too - it doesn't have any expansions or mods on it (though I later downloaded an expanded version I'll likely use from now on).
