    Who inspired you in FFR?

    A lot of people came to FFR for self-interest, inspiration, or was either asked to come and play. If you were actually inspired by someone who is better than you, who was it? And why?

    I couldn't exactly pick just one person so I just decided to write a few people's names down.
    1. GG_Guru - very nice person, and gave me the idea to get into Stepmania. Then I converted over to FFR.
    2. One Winged Angel - Good jeebus, his keytaps are amazing. It's like watching a song play with the "Assist" feature in SM. He answered every question I had regarding to keyboards and plus makes the funniest FFR videos I've ever seen.
    3. Dossar - can break down any song like no other. A lot of people may dislike him, but I see him as a major attribution to this community.
    4. irroniic - optimistic and always helped me get that push in FFR I was looking for. His attitude towards FFR is great and that's what I love him about him the most.

    So how about you? I'm ecstatic to see what other people have to say.

      My cousin David (flippride0) actually got me started on FFR back in 07 and I thought he was the best to ever play the game (he's not). He also taught me how to play spread. I was always competing with him to see who could get the best score and after a while I started to beat him in every song. He doesn't really play anymore, but that's who inspired to play FFR and get better.

          I think there are many people who inspire me on FFR, especially my good friends on FFR who constantly support me back in the days when I was a little more competitive. There are too many to name though haha.

              Lots of people, quite the list i have here

              Chronobreaker - my older brother who joined here in 2004~ish and got me to join this site. I played it for about a year before actually registering, thanks bro! :P
              Zyphoror - He's always been a great friend and full of advice. He's really nice and a great friend to have.
              0t0t - I go to school with him, and he's been like my FFR Teacher since the 6th official tournament. He's the reason i'm as good as i am now, and i have it as a personal goal to be as good as him by the time i retire.
              TC_Halogen - We never talk much, but he's one of the ones i look up to the most in terms of skill, and personality.
              Plus all my friends, and everyone who's ever pushed me to become better. <3 Just to name a few of my closest friends ^_^

                  The person who inspired me the most is jellygod. When he was playing a few years back, we were both index and on the same-ish level. We always had good competitions to see what scores we would get, and it was a lot of fun for me. He definitely pushed me to become a better player overall. Even though I switched to spread after the site came back up, his passing reminded me of the lasting impact that he had on me on FFR and in real life.

                                  All the people that I was really close with back around the first couple years I was here. Trevor, Monica, Ally, Wilson, kjwkjw, alloyus, etc, etc. I can't even begin to name all of them, haha.

                                      EAGAMES. When I started FFR, I saw his AAA Across Rooftops video. I was blown away.

                                      I made it my goal to one day FC that. Worked my way from playing Trip To The Moon to today, where I can now FC large sections of that file. crazy.

                                          Lumphaboextreme. He introduced me to spread setup after i saw his mashed EHHS full combo and thought he was the greatest player in the history of the world.

                                          That was almost 6 years ago! Jeez

                                          Also, AOD_Element and I go way back, we started playing around the same time but over the course of time I quit repeatedly and he just kept playing and raping scores, I wanted to be just like him hahaha, I still do! His scores are rediculous.

                                                      A lot of people who I either didn't notice when I first started have become really good at this game and I look up to them now. But those are my original inspirations.

                                                          My irl friend introduced me to the game. I later saw a vid of Jimerax playing For FFR which gave me a goal of passing that song. For a couple years I just played quietly and never posted. In all that time I found out about vrofl and saw Rubix play it. It blew my mind and I've wanted to become that good ever since.

                                                          Now there are a couple players that push me to get better (you guys know who you are)
