Not my opinion but going to abuse the fact that thread title states 'actually controversial opinions' and not 'post your actually controversial opinions'.

mario, pokemon, and basically almost all nintendo games are for children and if you haven't stopped playing them by age 12 you're basically a manchild

Dance games are actually adult games.

To elaborate:
- Most active DDR players are people in their 20s or 30s. When you see a group of people at a DDR A machine, it is more likely most if not all of them are 18+.
- Locations with DDR A machines are usually far away, meaning the gas money itself to travel can add up quickly.
- Getting your own home setup/pads is expensive. Usually it requires a person to have adequate space to allow for a pad in the first place.

The inaccessibility, in addition to how expensive it is, makes dance games more oriented towards an adult crowd. Round 1 and Dave and Busters both have bars as well.

i am literally unable to differentiate phatic communion from real propositions, but assuming the former seems like a pretty safe bet
