I'm curious though, what made you make this thread? there are plenty of other genres that are much more open-ended than complextro, is this project trying to trump my project or something?

on top of wanting to try something new with pack organization, I made it because I wanted to play charts of a particular genre of music

I'm not trying to "trump" your pack in any way. I made a totally different pack for something specific that by chance happens to be something you accept as well. if I were trying to trump your project I'd make an edm pack or something

I don't care for how "open-ended" a genre is. genre means nothing to me. as I've said before, I've described the kind of music I'm looking for, and I'm going by that guideline, so there could be complextro tracks I reject and non-complextro tracks I approve of

ilikexd I'm gonna have to reject that. it feels more like breakbeat or something (assuming I know what the genre is), and style-wise that's not a problem, but the entire song I pretty much just hear the bass droning underneath percussion. when the textures finally do change, they hold it for a whole section, and the change isn't much either

Yo Stargroup, how about this? Not sure about electronic music genres at all...

I'm sure this isn't the full version, seems like it's just a cut the dude uploaded from the osu! map, but if it approved, full version if there is one can be found.

Abendrot and Past and Then are both borderline.

Abendrot only really has the bass and the lead square synths, so the whole thing is really smooth throughout, so I'll lead towards no.
Past and Then has a lot of heavier grittier sounds and a couple of wide pads, but at least it's a sharp mono/stereo contrast. If you're confident in a good past and then chart then sure go for it. I won't put it on the first post cause it's borderline but basically it's a yes.

That Magic remix is a clear yes for me.

I explained that it's not genre, but the style of the music is such a way that it doesn't have much to offer in terms of musical contrast, which I explained very clearly is fundamental to what I'm looking for.

EDIT: Yggdrasil approved. It's got a lot of heavy gritty sounds as well square synth riffs and wide pads. It's rich and lush, and full of dynamic contrast.

Doesn't matter what the genre is. If Stargroup is fine with a file for this song in his pack, I'll see what I can do and submit.
