So. Is anyone else with Froakie SEVERLY disappointed with the moves he learns so far? Like they're all ninja-esque but just terrible for actually using... Substitute is a maybe but not necessary for the story. Haze, Smokescreen... ugh whyyyyy

in gen 1 you didn't get exp all until late game and it split the xp you got evenly
in gen 5 you actually got a lot less xp off of standard grinding, but they gave you a lucky egg about halfway through the game to make up for it
every gen since 2 has also had an exp share but that splits up the xp you get between

in this gen you get exp all (here called exp share) after the first gym and it makes free xp

please tell me you see a difference here

honestly the new exp share sounds broken as shit

it just generates more total exp for your team as whole without any drawback

I've never been a fan of EXP Share, broken or not. I like to do things the hard way.

actually i've come up with another reason:
because you forgot to switch your level 3 hm slave out of your party before going into a 2 star restaurant

You wouldn't.

It's insanely broken.

I mean, I *really* like it, because it removes annoying grinding. You can still grind, but you don't need to grind individual pokemon really which is extremely convenient.

The only real drawback is that your team is significantly stronger than it would be otherwise because of the net gain, and the trainers/gym leaders should be significantly harder IMO to compensate.

However, they really aren't, which sucks. I mean, the average level of the gym leaders thus far has been higher than in the past (though I'm only just past gym 3). They're already using level 30+ pokemon, which is a respectable challenge.

However, they still only use 3 pokemon or so which is the real killer. Given how easy it is now to create a very well balanced and strong 6 man team, the gym leaders should probably be using more pokemon.

Hell yes it does, this game is so fluid and amazing and great and omgomgomgomg

the ONLY bad thing I can find are the periodic fps drops during battles, and MAAAAAYBE the save bug in the main city (which can be circumvented by saving outside the city)

so, I got a weedle with a decent nature, thought I'd test out EV training and... goddamn this is awesome. I've never EV trained before, it's crazy how much more powerful an EV trained pokemon is lmao

you fuckin WOULDN'T

you can max out the EVs of a full party, turn exp share on, and LEVEL ALL OF THEM AT THE SAME TIME

I'm probably gonna do that once I have the ability to have rematches with trainers
