Good points! let me reply to what you said.

Everything except the bar is alluminium. I don't think it will ever be a problem

The bar is attached to two metal plates, which will be then tightly screwed to the wood with 6 bolts for each plate. the bar will also be locked at the level of the pads by a wooden structure which will incapsulate it. That will have to be tested, i can't say for sure now if my method will be stable enough, even though by the looks of it, it should be.

The squares didn't move much, but it would cause buttons to die when they did, and in the middle of a game too. It was very annoying. I could expect having to stop what I'm doing, position the tiles back in place, and screw everything down at least once a session.
This is what bugged me tremendously about cobalt flux and this is why i came up with a radically different system. Screwing down the arrow is a terrible idea, in fact my arrow pads won't have any screws. They will be held in place by the small plates in the inner angles and from the outside by a tightly screwed alluminium bar. There will be a simple system to remove the arrow for mantainance, but in normal conditions it will always stay in place.

hey guys I finally got the sensors (only 4 of them cause goddamn they're expensive) and with a friend of mine, who's an electronic engineer, we created the circuit on a test board. joypad USB input bitches! With these the pad could be ready relatively soon i'm so happy!

Ok so there we are guys. i'm one step closer to finishing this pad. There will be an ITG tournament in my region later next month and i'll make sure to have it tested throughly. Here are some high definition pics of the details. Nothing has been mounted yet cause i need to insert the electronic circuit first, which i'll have ready by tomorrow

EDIT: accidentally uploaded the original photos, they are MASSIVE, if you wanna see them they are in the spoiler.

Hey Mollo you should make several of these pads and sell them when you figure out how to build them. You can definitely make a good chunk of money from this if they can match arcade-quality pads (especially if they're like the pads Chino uses, holy fuck)

I also think it would be nice if you showed how much it cost to make the pad, with the price of the sensors/what type, aluminum or whatever other materials you used, and what makes the pad more sensitive and reliable.

i made this pad with the idea of selling it, so i can replicate it whenever i want. I just need to test it for various issues before selling it far away. ill first sell them locally so if anyone has a problem i can personally fix it.
