What matters more is my pad. I think my pad might be quite insensitive because I have to hit near the center for my taps to register. Any time there's a fast burst like in Fascination Maxx, I either missdump or luck out when my feet are at the center of the panel.

I'm wondering how a cobalt flux could be made more sensitive so I can move on to faster files. Currently I'm at a block, and Halogen had a similar issue.

Played after not playing for like two weeks. Didn't get anything decent except for this

        I could probably do better.

Also Dossar you should move up to ITG 10's/11's.
Does anyone know if a cobalt flux uses the same type of hit recognition as an arcade pad? It would be pretty easy to make it more sensitive then.

          Re: ITG/DDR Scores

Arcade pads use 4 rubber sensors under each arrow. These sensors return an electrical input when they are pushed with enough force. They can be replaced once they wear off.

Cobalt Flux pads have a thin metal foil under the arrow and another thin one under it, separated by a little space from the upper one. When you step on the arrow, the two metal foils touch each other, closing the circuit and giving the input. Cobalt flux is not bad but it's not really much arcade feel, and it's subject to early aging if you play mid-high level on it. On top of that, cobalt flux is made of wood, and differently from arcade pads, which have some rubber pieces inside the pressing mechanism to reduce the impact on knees and back, cobalt flux (and other custom pads) don't. On the long run they could be (more) harmful to your body.

            Re: ITG/DDR Scores

I play with socks and shoes so there isn't anything painful about playing on my cobalt flux. It's an issue of me wanting to minimize foot movement but I've never implemented anything on a pad before besides the arcade mod (that was just putting in a bunch of screws).

Concerning comments about "ITG 10s/11s", that is not the issue here. Either DDR or ITG files, the panel problem is the same.

Wait is it me or something's wrong with the right side graph? That's an awfully low score for almost making it to the end.

My guess on first 17 quad is Snows by Ryan, Cold Breath CV by Bryan, or Seth because he's starting to play legit now and he is getting his stamina back. I believe he quadded a new 15 recently along with some of the old 15s he did in the past.

Depends on the file because Pluto Relinquish Heavy has an ending at 200 BPM 16ths and it's still considered a 12, lol.

Thats because the only 'stream' in relinquished is like, 6 broken measures haha.

The slowest streams in tachyon alpha are about 215 (I think), since that is a footspeed pack, thats about where I'd draw the 'footspeed chart' line.

The last stream in Pluto Relinquish Heavy is constant. There's a short 4th stream transition, but then after that it's all out 8ths. I'd probably pass Fascination Maxx Challenge before Pluto Relinquish Heavy, honestly
