I would like to say something that the trend of FPPs started in the 6th official, so they certainly weren't the standard.
Now, with that being said, Plopadop hasn't been receiving the files beforehand for the safety of leakage. Giving the files out extremely early runs the risk of files being spread. I'm not saying/making any implications, but it was an issue for the start of the tournament. In any case, with the way I'm handling banners for the last three rounds, it's somewhat helpful for me to know who is and isn't going on at the end of the rounds.
Yes, it's nice to have things happening in a timely manner, but I can't exactly just go hand out files and have them potentially sent to those who had no involvement of the structuring of the tournament. I am trying to handle things in the same manner that the batch is (or should be) handled, and that's keeping things where they belong.Comment

AJ beat me to it, but yeah files are not handed out ahead of time when it comes to tournaments just to be safe. Just like we wont put up previews more than 24 hours before a round starts. It's just for the sake of trying to keep everything as fair as possible and to reduce possible leakage. The only person that even has the structure to the tournament physically is me. Rob looked over the files being a difficulty consultant as well as Ez, but neither know the structure to the tournament at all. It's nothing personal against any person here in any way, it just keeps the possibility reduced significantly.
Plus, it's not as if the front page posts are deleted or anything and once you read it you've read it. Are you really going to read it for all 7 days of the round that it has to be up immediately?

I just want to say thank you everyone for supporting me through this tournament, and pushing me farther then I thought I could go. Sadly, this round I had to focus on exams and couldn't put NEARLY as much time as I had other rounds.
But cheers to the remaining champs in D2. Can't wait to see who wins.

I know this might be off topic for this thread, but this COULD impact the tournament in a better way.
I have another idea for the engines. How about being able to hide the raw score? If that's to happen, I can actually play the songs without worrying so much whether I got a perfect on that note or not. Right now I just drag the window down and hide the raw score like that, but it makes me play worse because my eyes need to look straight at the game. All I have to do is see a 5 as the last number and I KNOW I'm not AAAing, even if I hide accuracy. What do you guys think?Comment

My mindblock at 2600 has ruined two AAAs so far
Also engine seems to be working just fine again for whatever reason

I would have made Top 5 for D5 and eliminated at Round 2 in D6 with my massive skill drop. I think this suggests that iironiic is D5 forever
