I was going to say, if you're just going to use the same files D6 would be receiving but segregating the upper tier players to their own division, I'm fine with that.

If it was all 86+ bullshit from like round 2/3 onwards, I'd be a bit pissed since I'm the type of player that tanks hard after a certain point. But there's really nothing I could say considering the overwhelming majority in favor of D7 at this point. Plus D7-exclusive prizes don't sound half bad.

Considering how few players there will be to begin with in D7, I'm hoping that maybe everyone will get something regardless of where they place.

I honestly wouldn't mind a D7 (even though idk if I have a say in this or not seeing as I'm not participating), but as m0de said, there aren't enough D7 players.

Nope, if the division is added the songs aren't changing. These tournaments are already a lot of work and changing a lot of things now would be difficult being that it's to start in a few days. I had to scramble for charts as it was to get this going, I had originally planned this being in December. Look at it this way, if a D7 is added the chance increases for people in D6 regardless of the files used.

So if this is done it will be as what I've mentioned. Cumulative for D7, exclusive prizes for them, anyone that wins D6 will be D7 the following tournament and the songs for this one in both D6 and D7 will be the same since it wasn't originally planned. If this is agreeable then I say we should go for it. I do want as fair a shot for everyone, but that includes the top tiered players as well.

Being that there's the lack of players is exactly why I say cumulative scoring. That makes it a battle to the end between the top tier players which I think would be cool to watch.

In any event, giving D7 all ridiculously hard files would be terrible for the game, haha. The game would get massacred with brutally hard files near the end of the tournament.

I would definitely want to give something to everyone, I just need to figure out what exactly so you'd all have to bear with me on finding D7 exclusive prizes.

Then what's the point of having a D7 if you can't murder them a little bit...
My idea for D7: Throw in a couple 87s and 88's moving up to 90s and then maybe a 99 at the end. Make it Whimper Wall. Tell the players in D7 lol have fun.

Edit: But in all honesty, just make it fun for those players

Because D7 isn't intended to be murdered. The point is to encourage fierce competition, not to encourage garbage files every round. It's bad enough that D6 has to get a steel pole shoved up their ass at the end of every tournament, lol

That doesn't sound enjoyable at all, the point isn't to make them suffer for being good, just being that good doesn't mean you want to play the hardest files all day.
