Re: Going to my first real metal concert.
I only like two of those bands, haha. Different tastes i guess. Have fun at that concert i suppose.. hopefully its free for you, definitely not worth the money. (the band)I don't even like DWP, I'm going just for the fun of going to a concert.
I wanna see the following:
All Shall Perish(Even though my favorite drummer, Matt Kuykendall quit)
As I Lay Dying
BTBAM
Black Dahlia Murder
Dream Theater
Lamb of God
Liquid Tension Experiment, or any one of Mike's side projects.
Mastodon
Muse
Nevermore
Rush
The Sword
Tool
Whitechapel
Those are pretty much the ones I wanna see the mostComment

Re: Going to my first real metal concert.
TDWP's zombie EP is a massive step up from anything they've written. Same goes for Underoath and Disambiguation, except when Dallas was their vocalist. One my of favorite band of all time Saosin I've wanted to see. I hate their new CD though, and I thing Cove is a lot better. :/ Also, abacabb does anyone like them? I want to see Silverstein again, even though I've seen them 5 times.Last edited by Emo_Saur_; 12-6-2010, 08:55 PM.sigpicComment

Re: Going to my first real metal concert.
They are the best live and that is not an opinion. It's funny that there 2 latest cd's are the ones that helped them become as popular as they are now, and the ones people use as a reference to muse most, when they're the 2 worst cd's they've made, as good as they still are.Comment

Re: Going to my first real metal concert.
Lol Suicide Silence isn't all that good xD Whitechapel is pretty good and Symphony X are incredible musicians idk what you're talking about. P.s. go check out Jeff Loomis' (the guitarist from Nevermore) solo album it's pretty sick. I'd like to see BDM in concert and I had fun at Protest the Hero and Bullet for My Valentine at Bamboozle last year
I honestly like some of Deadmau5's stuff it's fun and it's mainly about the noise and energy, not about high quality music, hence my massive collection of other stuff. I also got to drink at that show because I had to pay security to get in because it got sold out !_!
EDIT: Also add Dream Theater, Protest the Hero, X Japan and Stratovarious to that list of incredible live shows. Unfortunately I've only been able to get to PTH but I hope to see Dream Theater and Stratovarious mostly tours Europe so...
Oh and I see good lists up there, and BTBaM are incredible, their drummer, Dan something-or-other blows my mind haha.Last edited by revolutionomega; 12-6-2010, 09:40 PM."AW MAN, WE SUCK AGAIN!"

Re: Going to my first real metal concert.
I'm not really into epic/black/euro metal, so the likely hood of going to any of those shows are pretty slim for me. The only shows we get around here that are massive anymore and stupid radio worthy mainstream bands that I really don't care for. I love going to local shows, I being a vocalist myself enjoy seeing kids my age grow and mature with their vocal pattern writing skills. I also just love seeing friends play and rootin' them on.Last edited by Emo_Saur_; 12-6-2010, 09:44 PM.sigpicComment

my first show was trivium, the sword, and protest the hero at the trocadero in philly, loved the show even tho id never heard of pth or the sword, i knew trivium but not too well, a month later i saw reel big fish and altho i didnt particularly love the music it was a good show cuz the crowd was into it and i got to see a sold out show for free cuz they let us stand outside and opened the deck windows
and for the record rubin i snowboard for ski patrol without a helmet and iv never had a problem, a few times in the past iv been glad to be wearing one thoComment

Re: Going to my first real metal concert.
I've had countless injuries at shows, I'm usually the douche who's hardcore dancin' kickin' kids around. I'm an asshole I know. I'm a rather large guy, so I usually don't get picked on while moving around like a chicken with his head cut off. I always have friends to back me up if I do get into a quarrel though. Me and my crew, we're un-stoppable.sigpicComment

Re: Going to my first real metal concert.
They're a good band, in my opinion, but they aren't as heavy as TDWP. It's an awesome show (I saw them at Warped '09) but it won't be the headbangfest the crowd will give during TDWP.
Also, this tour came through Abbotsford on the 5th, but I was working and had to miss it. Have fun.Life is simply unfair... Don't you think?Comment
