How odd, this morning my parents told me not to play this game for more than 30 minutes a day cause I'll turn into a robot if otherwise. :l I'm serious, that's what they said -_-

OuterSpace - My dad is like your dad, he doesn't exactly tell me to stop playing games, but he's still a dumb bastard at times, not all the time though, parants are like robots (Sorry SnS), you need to program them not to argue with you. I swear if my parents had been as braindead as most people's I'd've killed them. I know more from being a nerd and playing games than I know from learning things in school. Making stepfiles and playing FFR made me better at thinking in terms of notes, and it helped when I made songs. Plus reaction time and whatnot. Plus making noteskins gave me some practice working with game graphics, which is helping now that I'm making my own game.
However, I learn stuff from games because I want to. I hear about something in a game then go look up more about it. I went beyond just playing FFR/SM and made noteskins and stepfiles. I could learn about as much with TV, because my mind isn't idle while I'm watching it, I absorb things and get interested and then find out more with other sources. If you're going to learn from doing anything, you're going to learn from doing everything. If you're mindlessly playing FFR, you'd do just as little while mindlessly watching TV or mindlessly playing a sport or mindlessly doing anything.So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(
In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.
So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.
Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =OComment
