It has artistic value to it, it usually involves some sort of story, and (usually just Ecchi and Yuri) are cute and "fluffy", which well hides the fact that you're fapping.

You can do much more with Hentai storywise.

Oh and before you go off on and say "It's porn, who cares about story?" then you can just keep quiet can't you. That's why some people like to watch Hentai. It's a fantasy that they love to see. Also it's a lot easier to do in anime.

Hentai storylines suck. It's just a series of loosely strung plot points that lead up to sex.

I have to say, I don't like hentai OR porn, but if I had to choose one that I'd like to turn me on, I'd probably go with hentai... why?

The girls don't look like whores. The men are cute. And they can do whatever they want, with no repercussions. 5 year old girl? Nothing wrong with it. Violent rape scene? Nothing wrong with it. You can't do this stuff in real life, nor would most people want to watch a REAL rendition of such things. It would just be absurdly disgusting and horrifying. Though.... I guess that can turn some people on :\

I like sex stories for some of the reasons people mentioned they like hentai. Freedom to do anything. You can find any sort of story you want to read. They all exist. Like they say, "There is porn of it", well, there is a story of it, somewhere

Also, make sure you guys don't include eroges in your definition of hentai. Now, there are some eroges that are all ero, but the majority have nice plots, and just happen to feature sex scenes so that they sell more copies.
