all of you jerks need to either give constructive criticism or gtfo. poems can be written any way the writer wants them to be written.

    anyway.

what you have here is an idea that could be expanded upon. first and foremost and id try to use lines to separate your ideas. try using metaphors to show your reader what you're talking about instead of just telling them. for example, you might use some object that relates to "the thing you hate" to cut yourself open and lose yourself in some large expanse of water like a sea of shame or something. that's another thing, just because you don't want to be obvious in saying what's causing you to cut yourself doesn't mean you have to not even hint at it.
Once you've done these things you can move on to rhyming, and meter and things people might expect of a poem. What's important is that you have an idea unlike the fools that make fun of you here.

        Here you go buddy!

        Please do.

We only want good criticism to help improve the writer, that or a very good pat on the back.

It's a pretty interesting poem, I like it. The next time you write a poem and want to be more serious though, try not repeated words over or pronouns such as "I"..

        "I" is a pronoun right?

          This poem isn't good because:

          1) There is nothing poetic. There are no images, no word plays. Everything is told as it is and that makes it bland.

          2) The theme is excessive and overdone

          3) No structure whatsoever, it looks like a bunch of words together.

This is my opinion and everyone is entitled to my opinion.

you dont need to change any wording or punctuation to improve it.....what the audience needs is an elaboration of the problem/ action. For example, lead up to the scene with the razor, maybe using a hallway scene in which you take your final, reflective look back on your life.

the ebb a poet wants is up to them, so just write what first comes to you...dont worry about what the others say is poetry, thats why its so much better than prose: its artistic, and im sure as hell people told picasso his paintings werent artistic in the slightest
