Except that it is directed by Sam "Evil Dead, Army of Darkness, Darkman, Spider Man" Raimi. His name implies comedy.
"A new take on the epic fantasy genre... Darkly comic, relatable characters... twisted storyline."

"Readers who prefer tension and romance, Maledictions: The Offering, delivers... As serious YA fiction, I’ll give it five stars out of five. As a novel? Four and a half." - Liz Ellor

I saw this movie and LOVED it.

It was another great movie from Sam Rami. He's a freaking genius.

          The Grudge wasn't especially comedic.

He didn't direct it, he produced it.

You shouldn't talk down to people you don't know anything about, acting like you know more and then try to show them up in the forum. That's how you get absolutely no where.

Yeah, the remake of The Grudge was directed by the guy who did the original Grudge.

There are non-comedic movies that Raimi has done, but the majority are campy comedy horrors.

I haven't watched it, but a couple of my friends told me it was scary as anything.
My boyfriend told me that it wasn't even scary at all, but it might be because he doesn't want to act like a pansy infront of me haha.

It had way too many "boo's" in it, but the old lady fight in the beginning was hilarious.

Lmfao, it was so bad it was hilarious. XD

The opening scene with the boy getting "dragged to hell" was rofl worthy. And my friends and I could laugh as loud as we wanted, because we were the only ones in the theater.
