        Ferry Corsten is pretty good, Armin van Buuren is a god, Paul van Dyk is pretty good, Tiësto has some good stuff and some not so good stuff. All four of them are trance, but Tiësto's original stuff has lately been digressing into the techno-realm.

        Be sure to get BT's album ESCM. It's pretty much essential.

                        Second Sun I've only heard a few songs by them, but everything I've heard has been good.
                        Paul Oakenfold Pretty much everyone knows him already, but I figured I'd throw that in there.
                        Freezepop Not really techno, at all, but it's some really happy music.

                                            Freezepop is electronic music with something of a Happy Hardcore element mixed in. I'd definitely recommend Freezepop.

                                            And Pyroshock, Ishkur describes "techno" as house music with the house stripped away. It's about as generic a term as you can get. Anything that resembles house in some way and has a dominant electric feel can be considered techno. That's why I hate the term... with its use, the material can be either good or bad; usually the latter. When I hear "techno," I'm not particularly enthusiastic to hear it; electronica described in mainstream scares me.
