(Considering the Poll can't host Options of more than a certain size, i decided to do it here, just Vote for the Letter that represents you, it's not that Hard right?)
A.That's Cartoons right? I think i saw one once...it began with a P...hmm... (0-10% Otaku)
B.You once saw something that looked like cartoons on your screen, and still have nightmares about "Pokemon", you even looked at a manga for a few seconds before noticing the price. (10-20% Otaku)
C.You remember Pokemon too well and think Digimon was pretty good, you have maybe one anime poster and maybe A DVD of the Animatrix. You've seen some of Studio Ghibli's work in the Cinema. You own around maybe one or two manga, just the general stuff that caught your eye or a friend recommended (20%-30% Otaku)
D.You've Watched Dragonball Z, Bleach, One Piece and have a few DVD's plus a few posters on the wall, Occasionally discuss plotlines and cute anime girls with friends, you generally rave about all the dubbed shounen type shows online and DON'T think there's possibly anything better. but still can't grasp what "Baka" means. By now your manga collection should be from anything to five to fifteen volumes in total, specifically a few odd bits and a continual series. (30-40% Otaku)
E. You've followed Naruto from Episode one through to whatever number in the two hundreds it is now, Recognise Some japanese phrasing through Watching subtitled anime, but still don't understand why the sentences are backwards...and why people run away from you when you mention Hentai, it's just anime with girls right? Alongside that you should have seen over five series all the way through, count the following as five considering their length (Naruto and Dragonball Z) (40-50% Otaku)
F.You ACTUALLY have manga, generally around ten off your favourite because they cost so much, you have your favourite torrenting program on when you're home snagging a few classics and stuff you know will be good. Your wall might contain some of your own anime artwork along with some anime posters, your japanese is progressing nicely and you could probably get by with a japanese dictionary close at hand. You've seen Anime's such as Azumanga Daioh, Saiyuki and Gundam Seed (50-60% Otaku)
G.You've actually considered going to japan and EVEN have started saving money for all the things you're going to buy over there, regular manga themed Webcomics such as Megatokyo keep magically appearing in your browser and you occasionally say "hai" instead of yes, (60-70% Otaku)
H.You download all the latest "Worth talking about Anime" such as Utawarerumono, Mai Otome, Kiba, Inukami and Cluster Edge and leave your Torrenting program on during the day, you own maybe around one hundred manga along with PLENTY of anime merchandise including key chains, figurines, cards, games, and artbooks. Also you may have either been to japan or actually have a date set for going which was generally set because you assumed you'd have enough money to buy things once you got there. By this point you have probably know the names of the artists who performed the intros and/or outros to some Major anime, Asian kung fu generation, L'arc en ciel, Orange Range, y'know what i'm talking about right? (70%-80% Otaku)
I.You actually can understand some of the subtitled Anime without Subtitles for help, you post on ALL the decent subbing groups forums, are regularly consulted on anime matters, your room is COVERED with anime posters and you frequently get new ones, you look down upon the newbie anime watchers who like Bleach etc and consider it your pride and joy that you understood Evangelion the FIRST time around, as an additional pre-requisite, if you haven't been to japan yet, discount yourself back to the somewhere between 60-80% Otaku. ( 80-90% Otaku)
J.And finally, you don't need subtitling and can watch raws now, you HELPED subtitle anime for other people, if anyone so much as mentions Pokemon you go out of your way to tie that person down and brainwash them with DECENT anime, you don't actually want to go to japan, OH NO who'd want that? no, you actually LIVE in japan and like to consider yourself a resident, definitely not a gaijin, ADD on top of that, that every piece of clothing you wear has SOME form of anime relational artwork on it, and you're just done, Welcome to the elite....it's like being a Nerd...only cooler? (90%-100% Otaku)
Feel free to mention anything extra you'd like to add to a section, thanks.
EDIT: A few minor details, i've considered altering it completely and having an one hundred question quiz, that would be easier to base your Otaku rating on...but yet again, that would be down to some opinion.
