Didn't like it at all, mainly becuase I didn't like any of the plot movements.

It was an uneeded movie that was only made to setup a 3rd movie. It could have just ended at the first fine. The fight scenes were even more ridiculous in the first, and hundred foot falls are nothing to the main characters. The stupid kracken thing auto-heals itself every 5 mins, and it decides that attacking people on ships is better than just pulling the entire thing under-water, as it did to the first one. It was way too long, something could have been cut out. The 3rd one is going to suck, no matter how they play it from here.

I liked it much better than the first actually. I liked Davey Jones crew because they were all wicked and gave a Spooky essence. I especially liked that dark island that Jack floated away from while hiding in a coffin during the beginning.
The Kraken was cool, though every time they shot the tentacles with cannons, the tentacles went underwater, then when they came back up they were perfectly healed.

I liked it a lot more than the first, only because of the crew. Hell, it even made the Black Pearl's crew seem like the good guys.

Finally got to see it last night.
The first half of the movie was awesome, it was so funny and had some quality lines Jack:"Why is the rum always gone?"...stumbles..."Oh, thats why". Also, pretty much everything on the cannibal island was pure comic genious, it has been a long time since i have seen an entire cinema room laughing that hard.

However towards the end, the movie does begin to drag out a lot and i don't like how they made Jack out to be such a bad person which is quite unlike his character in CotBP. Also i think they left a few too many things unsolved. It is ok to have a cliff-hanger at the end as everyone knows there will be a third one, but they left almost all of the mini plot lines unsolved which just makes it seem like they were in a hurry and just stopped filming half way through.

Anyway, all in all it was worth watching and hopefully the third one will make up for it when it comes out (next year is what i heard).

I don't see why the everybody has to hate on the movie just because of the cliffhanger ending. I think it sets up excitement for the third movie well, and considering how close these movies are releasing, there's no problem.

Otherwise, I liked the movie. I don't think the second movie in a trilogy can be as entertaining as the first or third, but I'm happy with how this turned out.

Because a movie should be good by itself without having to depend on the prequels or sequels.
