Am I the only one that thinks this could have worked? You have to seperate an actors ability from their personal life. Were egyptians offended by Elizabeth Taylor playing Cleopatra? She slept with everyone and was a known drug user, how could she possibly represent Cleopatra?

Although Paris is missing one key element, talent, I do think with a good crew at hand, she could be coached into playing her part correctly.

There is not nearly enough talent with all the coaches in the world to get Paris Hilton to ACT in any way, shape, or form like Mother Teresa.

She'd have an easier time playing Mussolini.

Although Paris is missing one key element, talent, I do think with a good crew at hand, she could be coached into playing her part correctly.

The major difference that I see is that Cleopatra wasn't a model for humanity, while Mother Theresa embodies pretty much everything that Paris Hilton represents.

I realize that it's not the actress on stage, but rather than a character, but this discrepancy is great enough to leave a lasting impression. That is, if Paris played a damn good role as Mother Theresa, people (I, for one) would still view that differently than if any other respectable actress did it.

Doing a movie about a historical figure is different than doing a movie about fictional characters. I wouldn't have been too happy if Jim Caviziel was some drug-dealing, whoremongering pedophile, either.
