Freese certainly redeemed himself. Holliday, not so much. I believe you can't obstruct the base path until the fielder has the ball.

In the post-game interview, brief as it was, Freese said something along the lines of, "I think I redeemed myself for that stupid error on the pop up."
As for the foot blocking the base, I believe the color commentators said that was perfectly legal. Either way, it worked. At least for that play.
Looking forward to game 7 though I think Lumph is right. I have a strong feeling the Rangers will win, but I'm still rooting for the Cards. That was an intense game 6.

as a rangers fan, i honestly don't think they deserve to be in the world series based on their seasonal play, and the fact that they are tells me just how terrible the rest of the AL is.
this world series is crazy intense though, i'll be missing game 7 tomorrow because i have more important things in my life ~lol~

I guess we'll keep the Game 7 talk in the Game 6 thread then. Congratulations to the St. Louis Cardinals on their 11th World Series title. Rangers, you had your chance, but now you are halfway to Buffalo Bills status. Enjoy the win and the parade Cardinals fans.

Blocking the bag is legal if the guy is sliding hands-first, which he was in that case. Great defensive play there.

But Game 7...holy crap, the Angry Birds brought it. Allowed two straight RBI doubles, made it right back up like they did in the 9th/10th of G6 and never looked back.
